中国非英语专业大学生考试作文中英语冠词错误研究

内容摘要

由a, an, the及零冠词构成的英语冠词系统是英语中的高频词,也是非母语学习者最难掌握和最后习得的英语语法之一(Master,1990)。在过去的几十年中,国外学者对此建树颇丰,国内在该领域的研究也屡见不鲜。但国内研究大多不是实证研究,且其研究范围多停留在对冠词功能的描述上。鉴于此,论文运用错误分析理论,对中国非英语专业大学生考试作文中的冠词错误进行了一项对比研究,旨在揭示中国非英语专业大学生考试作文中冠词错误的分布和特征,分析造成错误的原因,探讨其教学启示。通过对中国学习者英语语料库中ST3、ST4两个子库以及某所医科大学50份作文试卷中冠词错误进行分类、标注、检索,论文发现:(1)中国非英语专业大学生考试作文中英语冠词错误可分为冠词缺省,冠词冗余,冠词混用及词序错误4类。在此基础上冠词缺省,冠词冗余,冠词混用这三种错误还可以进一步细分。(2)整体而言,中国非英语专业大学生考试作文倾向于省略冠词,其错误率占冠词错误的50%。(3)在四类错误中,冠词缺省的错误率最高,接下来分别是冠词冗余,冠词混用及词序错误。(4)引起冠词错误的主要原因可以归结为由语言本身引起的内部错误及超出语言本身的外部错误。(5)引起冠词错误的原因并不是相互排斥的,而是相互作用的。一种冠词错误可以是由两种或两种以上的原因造成的。基于上述研究,论文对英语冠词教学提出以下建议:首先,教师要结合名词的用法系统地教授英语冠词知识。其次,英语教学要注意培养学生使用英语冠词的意识。再次,教师应利用语料库和检索软件加大相关信息输入。最后,教师要运用错误分析的结果辅助英语冠词教学。
