中美青年跨文化价值观对比研究

内容摘要


在国内外学界跨文化价值观研究的趋势体现为:一、跨文化交际中价值观差异的宏观理论研究,主要涉及中西文化主流的差异,包括“性本善”与“性本恶”;集体取向与个人主义取向;做人与做事;等等。二、跨文化交际中价值观差异的微观理论研究,主要涉及中西文化主流中某一方面的差异,如中西方人性观的差异;对“做人与做事”原则的两种取向等等。三、跨文化交际中价值观差异的实证研究,主要通过直接进行问卷调查的方式,对比分析跨文化交际的特点,得出启示并提出建议。当前,跨文化价值观这个研究领域尚存在两个主要问题:一是宏观与微观方面的理论研究较多,而相关的实证研究较少;二是跨文化交际中,涉及传统价值观取向差异的研究较多,而对当下价值观变化研究不足。为此,本研究的基本内容是以《三峡好人》与《拯救大兵瑞恩》这两部中、美电影为研究样本来探讨中美青年的跨文化价值取向及其变化趋势。《三峡好人》是一部由著名中国导演贾樟柯拍摄,以反映中国三峡工程移民为题材的金狮奖获奖影片;另一部是好莱坞的鸿篇巨著,以反映美国传统社会价值观体系为题材的《拯救大兵瑞恩》。因此,上述两部影片在中美文化中均具有一定的代表性。本课题以这两部影片为样本,以中、美大学生为受试者设计问卷,进行中美跨文化价值观的调查研究。本研究以实证研究的方法,着力考察在当下国际语境中的中美大学生传统价值观的异同及其变化,希望能够在数据采集的真实性上有所突破,并据此得出更为可靠的调查结论,以提高中、美跨文化交际的有效性。本论文共分六章:第一章为文化回顾。主要阐述跨文化交际的概念及其国内外的相关研究,价值观的概念及其国内外的相关研究,以及跨文化价值观在国内外的相关研究。第二章叙述了本实证研究的设计思路、研究方法,并以表格形式列举了本研究利用问卷调查法所得出的主要研究数据,以便进行后面第三、四章的数据分析。第三章和第四章是本研究数据分析对比的主体。就《三峡好人》和《拯救大兵瑞恩》这两部影片,分别从反映当下价值观的不同角度--现实主义、命运观、个人主义与集体主义、同情心、爱情观、自我牺牲精神,和人道主义、个人英雄主义、道德观、责任感、正义感、感恩心等方面,直接对比分析中美青年在上述价值观维度方面的异同。第五章则是在第三、四章数据分析的基础上进一步解析其异同及原因。第一节总结出了中美青年在人道主义精神、同情心、感恩心、现实主义和正义感等方面价值观的相似点与发展趋势。第二节则总结出中美青年在自我牺牲精神、个人主义、责任感、命运观和爱情观等方面价值观的差异与冲突。第三节分析阐述了产生上述异同的文化原因与社会原因。第六章指出本实证研究对中美青年跨文化交流的意义,并提出了几点我们在进行跨文化有效交流时的策略。最后本文得出结论:中美青年在如下几个方面倾向于拥有较为相同的价值观—人道主义精神、同情心、感恩心、现实主义和正义感;同时中美青年也在自我牺牲精神、个人主义、责任感、命运观和爱情观等方面的价值观有着较为明显的差异。因此,我们在中美跨文化交流活动中应注意中美青年价值观的上述异同,以期在中美青年跨文化交流活动中求同存异并取得更大成效。
