中英成语翻译研究

内容摘要

成语是一种语言的重要组成部分。中英两种语言都包含了大量的成语。它们各具特点,有共性也有不同之处。如何正确的翻译它们就成为了一个很有研究价值的课题。在成语翻译方面,文化因素以及可译性问题是容易造成翻译错误或导致翻译困难的两个主要原因。本文对上述两方面进行了详细的研究,深入分析了文化因素中的各个层面以及可译性局限的问题。本文认为,奈达博士的“功能对等理论”非常适合应用于成语翻译。因此,文中对该理论进行了较为详细的介绍,包括其创立与发展的过程、内容以及意义。在翻译方法上,可在直译、借用、意译和直译加注这四种方法当中,根据上下文并对各种因素加以全面考虑的情况下选择其一。通过上述研究,本文作者得出如下结论:尽管在翻译过程中存在很多难点,但只要在“功能对等理论”指导下,根据实际情况,选择适当的翻译方法,那么成语的正确翻译是可以实现的。
