翻译伦理视域下的异化归化再研究

内容摘要

随着翻译理论的发展,译界对翻译策略——异化归化的研究已不仅仅停留在语言表达层面而已深入到诗学、文化和政治领域。目前翻译伦理备受译界学者的关注,对异化归化的探究也逐渐转入到道德伦理的视域。从翻译伦理角度探讨异化归化,强调译者在翻译活动中的道德伦理意识,在该意识的影响下选取怎样的翻译策略,即译者的能动性受翻译伦理原则的规范和制约。由于翻译活动是一种社会行为,而伦理是人类社会中人与人之间关系与行为的秩序规范,因此,翻译活动需要伦理来规范。将伦理引入对异化归化翻译策略的研究有利于推动翻译研究深入而全面的发展,也可以为译者在翻译策略的选用上提供更为全新的、科学的理论依据。在翻译伦理视域下,本文首先回顾了异化归化的研究发展情况,对国内外对异化归化的研究作了简要说明。然后将异化归化与翻译伦理结合起来,特别是同切斯特曼提出的翻译伦理模式相结合,深入探讨了异化归化翻译。此外,本文着重指出只有超越异化归化的二元对立且遵循因地制宜的原则才能实现异化归化的互补统一。本论文最后结合具体文本——老舍先生的代表作《茶馆》的英译本讨论译者在选取异化归化两种策略时的翻译伦理体现,试着将异化归化与翻译伦理的关系以具体的翻译活动形式展现出来,以此希望能为今后的异化归化研究提供一个不同的视角。
