应用语料库提高高中生英语写作水平的研究

内容摘要

语料库是基于大量真实的语言资料,以电子形式收集的真实语言文本数据库,利用语料库研究语言的特征已成为英语课程发展的趋势。近来,国内外外语教学领域对语言输出,例如,读,写方面都已有了大量研究,学生的读写技能也有了长足发展。但是,从某种意义上说,写作教学仍是外语教学中的薄弱环节之一。语料库的兴起对写作具有重要启示,语料库在写作中的作用主要体现在作为参考工具与研究工具等方面。从文献综述研究表明,语料库和数据驱动学习在大学得到了广泛的推广,而中学却很少用到。随着科技的迅猛发展,计算机和多媒体在我国中学逐渐普及,这为语料库在中学的使用和数据驱动学习的实施创造了条件。因此,将语料库应用到高中写作中去的研究有重要的现实意义和实践价值。本研究通过一个具体的实验和一次问卷调查去研究语料库辅助高中英语写作教学的有关问题,旨在探究语料库的应用对提高高中生英语写作能力的功用。实验对象是来自辽宁省建昌县第三高中高二年级两个班的一百名学生(N=100),并被随机编成实验组与控制组。在为期一学期的实验过程中,控制组采取传统的英语写作教学模式,实验组实行语料库输入的数据驱动式写作教学模式。研究中定性分析与定量分析相结合。数据采集通过问卷,前测与后测,然后采用SPSS16.0软件对两个组的前测与后测写作水平进行了显著性差异检验。实验结果的显著性差异表明以语料库基础的数据驱动的写作教学模式能提高高中生的英语写作水平。问卷调查的结果显示学生支持这种新型的教学模式,写作兴趣与自信心显着增强。最后,本文对实行语料库输入的数据驱动式写作教学模式提出了建议并对今后的研究做出了展望。
