译者在翻译生态环境中的适应与选择

内容摘要

近二三十年来,我国翻译研究呈现出蓬勃发展的景象。有的学者孜孜不倦于引介国外学者的研究成果、将国外的翻译理论应用到中国的翻译实践,有的则苦苦钻研中国的传统译论,还有少数则尝试提出新的译论。至今,翻译研究的途径不断拓展,涵盖语言学、伦理学、社会符号学及语用学等诸多途径。随着翻译研究的不断深入,跨学科研究必将成为未来的翻译研究趋势。清华大学教授胡庚申,结合当前的全球生态文化研究思潮,提出了翻译适应选择论。该理论摒弃以往的翻译研究视角,将翻译置于“翻译生态环境”中进行重新审视,借用达尔文生物进化论中“适应／选择”学说的基本原理和思想对翻译活动的本质、主体、过程、原则、方法和标准等加以描述和解释,从而探索和建构了当代翻译研究的生态学新途径。翻译适应选择论认为翻译的本质就是译者在翻译生态环境中的适应和选择。而该理论的核心理念“翻译生态环境”指的是原文、原语和译语所呈现的世界,即语言、交际、文化、社会,以及作者、读者、委托者等互联互动的整体。本篇论文以翻译适应选择论为理论框架,从翻译生态环境视角研究许渊冲的唐诗英译,旨在说明译者许渊冲翻译唐诗时翻译策略、翻译方法及的语文本形式等的选择都取决于翻译的生态环境,并结合唐诗英译实例分析译者许渊冲在翻译生态环境中的适应选择,从整合适应选择度的视角来评价许译唐诗中许渊冲的适应与选择。本论文除引言和结语外,包括四章。第一章是理论阐述,介绍翻译适应选择论的核心内容,分析译者与翻译生态环境的关系。本章主要介绍翻译适应选择论的理论框架、翻译原则及本质,并结合中外翻译理论家的相关论述,分析翻译实践中译者对翻译生态环境的能力、需要的适应以及译者要适应选择的翻译生态环境各维度,为下文研究许的多维度适应选择做铺垫。第二章回顾许渊冲的唐诗英译,探讨许的核心文学翻译观,指出许的唐诗英译是译者为中心的适应选择活动。三、四章是本文的核心部分,研究许翻译唐诗时在翻译生态环境中的适应性选择与选择性适应。其中,第三章分析译者的选择性适应,指出许选择适应的翻译生态环境需要、能力及维度；第四章结合许译唐诗实例,解读许在适应翻译生态环境下做出的选择,从整合适应度的视角评价许译唐诗。结论部分对论文进行了详细的总结,指出了本论文研究的意义、重要性及局限性。
