框架语义学视角下汉语文化负载词英译研究-以鲁迅小说为例

内容摘要

20世纪翻译研究领域掀起了一场“文化转向”。这一转向意味着翻译活动不再是纯粹的语言文字的转换。翻译研究越来越多地将语言背后的社会、政治、文化、译者心理等方面的因素纳入研究的范围。翻译学科在过去的一个世纪中不断的发展，不断与新兴的语言学科相结合，其中从认知语言学的角度，具体的说从认知语义学角度研究翻译，已经越来越多的引起国内外学者的注意。美国认知语言学家Fillmore在20世纪70年代末提出的框架语义学为人们提供了一种理解和描写词项意义及语法句式的方法。框架语义理论是认知语言学的一个新的发展方向。它本身是一个跨学科的理论，融合了语言学、心理学、人工智能等领域的观点，是一种综合考虑了语境、原型、感知、个体经历的语言认知理论。在英汉两种语言间进行文化转换的过程中，不可避免的会遇到大量文化负载词,汉语文化负载词是最活跃、最能直接反应中华民族文化的语言单位。中国有着五千年的悠久历史和灿烂文化，汉语中蕴含独特文化内涵的词汇数不胜数。然而，中西方巨大的文化差异给文化负载词的翻译带来了很大的困难和挑战。鲁迅先生被誉为“中国现代小说之父”。其文学作品中包含大量的文化负载词，鲜明的反映了半殖民地半封建的旧中国在政治、经济、物质文化、宗教信仰和风俗习惯等方面的文化特征，是旧中国的社会缩影。因此在对其小说进行翻译时，正确的再现原语中文化负载词的意义尤其重要。只有正确的翻译出源语文化中文化负载词的真正内涵，才能让译语读者正确且透彻地理解源语文化内涵，才能让更多的海外读者了解中国及中国文化。现如今国内外学者对框架语义学及文化负载词的翻译均有一定的研究。但将框架语义学应用到文化负载词翻译中的研究尚不多见。本文试图以框架语义学为理论基础，通过对鲁迅小说文化负载词英译的定性分析，探讨框架语义学应用于汉语文学作品文化负载词英译中的可行性，并根据框架语义学提出文化负载词的分类及相应的翻译策略。
