高中英语阅读教学中引进“阅读工坊（Literature Circles）”模式的实践与研究

课外阅读的益处不胜枚举,对成功语言学习起着至关重要的作用。然而,高中学生英语课外阅读的现状在量、质、效上都存在不尽如人意的方面。本文主要探讨了在高中英语课外阅读体验中引进学者Harvey Daniels在1994年提出的“阅读工坊(Literature Circles)‖这一崭新理念,旨在使课外阅读成为一件赏心乐事。通过定性分析,本研究设计了一种适合母语为汉语、把英语作为一门外语(EFL)的高中学生的“本土化的阅读工坊模式(Tailored Literature Circles)”,并对这一模式的可行性及影响其有效性的要素进行实践研究。本研究调查了来自两个教学班的72名高中学生,获得了他们在为期7个月的“本土化的阅读工坊”模式试验期间的经历与反响。本研究历经了四个阶段:(1)学生课外阅读背景调查问卷;(2)在本土化的阅读工坊模式框架下的课外阅读计划;(3)以本土化的阅读工坊的模式阅读中学生英文报;(4)以本土化的阅读工坊的模式阅读分级读物。问卷调查结果和个案研究分析都证实了本土化的阅读工坊模式在中学课堂实践的可行性,研究也显示影响本土化的阅读工坊模式的有效性因素不止一个。本研究存在的局限和不足以及它对英语教学实践的启示也一并进行了探讨。
