象标语言材料对初中英语文化阅读的应用研究

内容摘要

本文论述文化意识在阅读教学中的重要性,着力提出了一种旨在培养学生文化意识和初中生文化阅读能力的新型教学材料——象标语言材料。调查发现,在把英语作为外语学习的中国,对英语学习中运用阅读材料对初中生进行文化渗透的教学还不多见,而运用象标语言材料作为新型阅读材料对初中学生文化渗透的教学在国内还是空白。本文首先回顾了关于阅读和文化意识的理论,使其成为进一步调查和分析的基础。在此基础上,作者首先开展了一个问卷调查,并通过数据分析了解初中学校师生的文化意识和文化阅读的输入状况。接着展现了初中英语文化阅读教学的现状,特别是其中存在的问题。造成这种结果的原因多种多样,其主要是因为缺乏合适的阅读材料、积极的阅读兴趣及教师的有效指导。根据以上分析,本文提出了利用象标语言材料培养和提高学生的文化阅读能力。象标语言材料作为阅读材料所特有的优势,本文作者决定在一所普通初中进行一次以象标语言材料促文化学习及提高初中生文化阅读能力的可行性实验。该实验选取了南平市延平区炉下学校初一的两个班为实验组和控制组。经过长达3个月的对比实验跟踪,通过各种实证和量化的测评基本证明了象标语言材料对培养英语学习者文化阅读能力很有帮助。
