内容摘要

素质教育和文化意识在外语教学中的重要性是不言而喻的，二十年来，越来越多的外语工作者对其产生了浓厚的兴趣．然而，尽管理论研究硕果累累，跨文化意识培养和素质教育在各大学教学中的实践却显然处于无序状态，这无疑对学生的个人发展和人格塑造产生了消极影响。在中国，外语教学的效果差强人意，这在很大程度上是因为文化意识的欠缺。本文将对语言，文化，交际三者的关系进行深入探讨。本文将对世界范围内外语工作者在此领域的研究作历史性的回顾，并将其作为高级英语教学中进行文化意识培养的必要性的理论基础。以完美人格教育理论为基础，作者提出了综合法，并将其作为大学英语的教学模式推荐给广大外语学习者，特别是英语专业的学生。另外，本文研究了核心问题：目标，内容，教学法，教材，师资和测试。
