内容摘要

“文化”这个看似简单的概念几乎囊括了人类社会的方方面面,而且各种不同的文化之间往往存在着巨大的差异,正是文化的独特性使其成为了民族、种族等社会群体的标志。这些形形色色的文化孕育了五光十色的文学作品,而各类文学作品也几乎处处可见文化的影子。在文化、文学交流程中,翻译无疑是不可或缺的沟通途径和桥梁,但是,文学作品中原语文化与目的语文化之间的种种差异往往给翻译活动造成巨大的障碍。上世纪90年代,“文化转向”为翻译研究开辟了崭新的视野,自此之后,译者和翻译理论家开始将目光从语言层面逐渐投向文化层面。这股潮流也影响了中国的翻译研究,许多学者开始探讨文化成分的翻译策略,并由此引发了“归化”与“异化”之争。实际上,西方译界的“文化转向”是一种从文化角度解析翻译活动的研究趋势,探讨的是译文产生的政治、经济、社会、意识形态等多方面的文化背景与翻译之间的联系。而“归化派”与“异化派”之间始终难以达成共识的根源正是在于“文化转向”的影响令中国翻译研究者在对待文化因素的翻译上仅仅从文化角度出发,常常忽略掉翻译过程中的其他因素。翻译既不仅仅是语言转换,也不仅仅是文化交流,而是一种涵盖诸多种因素的多元化创造活动。对此,辜正坤先生提出的“翻译标准多元互补论”为我们提供了一个新的研究途径,即一种综合性研究途径。本文以该理论为基础,从文本功能的角度出发,结合翻译目的、译者主体等方面挖掘各种因素在翻译文化成分过程中产生的影响,综合探索文学翻译中文化成分的处理,以一种多方位、多角度的理念探究文化成分的翻译。
