译者主体性与翻译规范的关系探析

内容摘要


自20世纪70年代以来,伴随着翻译研究的“文化转向”,译者主体性已成为学者们探讨的热点问题之一。译者的地位已逐渐从“隐身”到“现身”,且越来越重要和具权威性。但翻译是一项复杂的社会文化活动,也是一项规范操控下的活动。翻译过程可以被视为译者对翻译生态环境的适应和选择过程。因此在翻译过程中译者并不是完全自由的,其行为必定会受到来自内部或外部各种因素的制约。规范是用以解释某种活动的社会意义的重要概念。在翻译研究中,翻译规范也是一个绝对重要的概念。无论是译者的主体性还是来自源语和译语文化系统的规范的制约都存在于翻译活动的全过程中。本文在胡庚申翻译适应选择论和切斯特曼翻译规范理论的指导下,旨在阐明译者主体性与翻译规范之间的关系。分析表明,在翻译过程中从译者适应翻译生态环境到对翻译策略的适应性选择,每一个层面译者都发挥了其主观能动性。译者对翻译生态环境的适应选择过程是一个必须在遵守翻译规范的基础上产生的复杂过程。译者主体性与翻译规范之间是双向的互动关系。
