以体裁为基础分析和教授《致股民的信》

内容摘要

本文运用了一种较为系统的以体裁为基础的方法来分析和教授《致股民的信》这一商务体裁，旨在讨论如何将这种方法拓展应用到商务英语教学的其他方面。通过整合体裁分析、语域分析、语篇修辞分析的相关理论部分，作者对《致股民的信》进行了描述性和解释性的研究，分析了其在体裁结构、修辞和语言等方面的特点。文中的分析分为定量和定性两个部分。在定量分析部分，作者从《财富》杂志评选的2000年世界500强公司中随机挑选了100家，从这些公司的网站上分别下载了100封《致股民的信》组成一个语料库，随后运用WordSmith 4.0软件分析了它们的关键词及相关词汇的索引。在定性分析部分，作者从原语料库中随机取出30封信组成一个附属语料库，对其中的30封信进行了话步分析、篇章结构分析以及相关特点在语言方面的体现的分析。随后作者将本文所提出的以体裁为基础的方法运用到了《致股民的信》的写作教学中，以该方法为指导设计教学活动，并将分析结果融入到教学材料和写作练习中。文中对《致股民的信》的分析和写作教学显示，将本文所提出的以体裁分析为基础的方法运用到商务英语教学的其他方面是具有一定的可行性的。虽然表面上看该种方法在教学中的应用相对费时费力，但该方法有助于克服传统体裁分析教学法的局限性，能够提高学习者的体裁、语域和修辞意识，增强他们独自分析和学习体裁的能力，长期来看是值得尝试的。此外，该种方法所具有的在听力、阅读乃至口语教学中应用的潜力也使其对从事商务英语教学的人具有较大的吸引力。
