大学英语新四级听力测试与教学实证研究

内容摘要

世界经济的全球化发展使得不同语言国家之间的交流变得越来越重要。大学英语新四级测试在这样的背景下诞生,对衡量和提高中国非英语专业大学生群体的英语水平起着至关重要的作用。与旧的英语四级考试相比,新四级听力测试以交际性为目标,但却没有成功地在测试中实现。这是本文研究的重点。为了逐步提高大学生在不同交际情景中的实际英语交际能力,本文探索了有效的以交际为导向的大学英语四级听力测试及教学方法以满足社会对交际性人才的迫切需求。本文以新四级听力测试及教学为研究目标,采用定量数据分析与定性数据分析相结合的方法,针对来自湖北教育学院96名文理两个不同专业的大二本科生进行了实证研究。在整个数据收集整理过程中,运用了问卷调查、测试以及访谈等统计方法,所有搜集的数据输入SPSS(社会科学统计程序)软件进行计算分析。经过横向和纵向地实证研究比较,取得并证实：1、新四级听力测试与教学活动中存在一些问题,主要是现行四级听力测试不是以交际为中心,而且听力教学的最终目标是帮助学生通过考试。2、一些有效的测试改革被证明是合理有效的。比如在A部分用真实的英语日常交际情景代替原有的短对话,并将对话长度分别设计为短、中长和长三个等级；在B部分安排适当的主观问答题,引入音频新闻及视频片断听力内容；在C部分用标题填空,部分主旨句以及关键词填空取代原有的单词及长句填空。3、研究证实以因材施教为原则并以学生为中心的“视-听-模-译-评”交际性听力教学模式能有效地提高学生在不同场景的实际英语交际能力。最重要的一点是,只有把大学英语四级交际性听力测试与教学结合才能有效地提高学生的实际英语交际能力。
