从语域角度探析《四世同堂》对话翻译

内容摘要

根据语域理论,在翻译过程中译者应尽可能的在译文中再现原文的语域特征。但是由于英汉语言属于不同的语系,文化差异一定程度上影响了原文语域特征的再现,因此译者在翻译过程中应考虑译入语的文化因素和语言结构。本文运用语域分析评析老舍的作品《四世同堂》中有其独特风格的小说对话的翻译。利用语域分析指导对话翻译,即对原文及译文语域特征进行对照分析,包含了三个方面:从语场的角度,对人物对话中心话题的分析,揭示对小说主题的塑造作用;从语旨的角度,揭示小说中主要人物的性格及人物关系;就交际渠道而言,小说中的语式虽已确定为看似非书面语的口语,但从修辞的角度看不同的语式却对小说对话产生了不同的影响。通过对照分析及翻译策略的讨论,本文旨在说明如果在译文与原文实现语域对等,译文便做到了与原文最大程度的相似。
