从汉英对比的视角看中医文献的句法翻译

内容摘要

随着中华民族的日渐崛起,中医理论作为国粹之一在国际上也逐渐引起了广泛关注,但是中医典籍的译本却仍然存在许多问题,影响了中医理念走向国际。本论文主要针对这一问题展开探讨,结合汉英对比研究的理论,尝试从句法的角度找出一套适合中医的翻译方法。作者选取了极具代表性的《黄帝内经素问》原著作为研究范本,对其句型进行分析。依据汉英对比的理论,汉英句子在意念组织及形态结构上都有极大区别;同时,汉语主要以意念为主轴而英语则以形式为主轴。根据这些理论,作者提出,在分析句子时,译者必须要摆脱惯用的模式,不能把英语主谓提携的句型生搬硬套在汉语的句型分析上,而应该以汉语为本位,根据汉语句子中隐含的内在关系来划分原著的句型。因此,作者按原著的句子构成特点,首先把原著的句型划分为简单关系句和复杂关系句,再进一步根据句段与句段之间的语义关系细分句型。然后,本文将以句法构成为切入点,选取两个具代表性的《黄帝内经素问》英译本进行案例分析,并以问卷调查为辅助手段,试图找出改进目前译文质量的翻译策略。最后,本文通过一系列分析,总结出要把汉语翻译成英语惯用的形式,译者可以根据汉语句段间的隐含关系,把原文分解为若干个语言单位,再进一步找出其核心词,最后套上英文的主谓提携模式,围绕此核心词按原文句段之间的关系重新构建句子。
