高中英语课堂中恰当的题外话研究

内容摘要

此文的研究主题是高中英语课堂中的“题外话”。对于此话题,虽人人熟识,却少有人涉猎,更从未有过实证性研究。所以此文对于作者本人以及英语教学研究都是一个挑战。研究的目的在于证实“恰当的课堂题外话”在高中英语教学中可促进学生情感、道德观念和学业发展。关于“恰当的课堂题外话”,并没有现成的实证性研究和理论。但作者不辞艰辛,在教育学、心理学和社会学等方面发掘出了相关的理论基础,分析了题外话的辞典含义及专家学者的不同观点,并在自己工作经验基础上,对“恰当的课堂题外话”做出了定义,同时总结归纳了高中英语课堂中八类常见的题外话:人文关怀、教材引申、时事小议、天气环境、经历分享、伟人点滴、课堂管理、和学习策略。古今中外教育目的的分析证明了“恰当的题外话”是现代教育教学必要的补充。人文主义语言学更多地关注人生的情感因素。这也引出了学习焦虑和学习动机,二者都与“课堂题外话”紧密相关。在人的发展理论中,作者发现,作为教学环境的一个重要方面,“恰当的课堂题外话”在学习者人格发展中影响巨大。道德发展的六阶段理论更使得高中阶段“课堂题外话”对学生德育发展举足轻重。文章同时讨论了课堂管理、有效学习和师生关系的相关理论。这样作者在理论上完成了对“恰当的课堂题外话”促进学生全面发展的论证。在此基础上,作者在河北省深州中学高中一年级两个班的英语课堂中进行了为期六个月的教学实验。文章重点展示了一节典型的题外话案例并对之进行了详尽深刻的解释分析。之后文章例举了一系列简短的课堂题外话的记录和分析,并对实验中各项数据进行了调查、收集、整理和分析。在理论研究和教学实验基础上,作者最后得出了与研究假设一致的结论:“恰当的课堂题外话”如英语课堂中的缕缕阳光,可以在学习兴趣、动机、策略和师生关系等多方面促进学生的有效学习。
