英语教与学的环境下高中生多元智能发展的个案研究

根据美国心理学家霍华德·加德纳提出的多元智能理论,所有人类都拥有八种智能(语言智能、逻辑-数学智能、音乐智能、空间智能、身体-动觉智能、人际智能、自我认知智能和博物学家智能),区别在于每人有不同的智能强度和智能组合。2001年颁布的国家英语课程标准旨在通过培养学生的语言综合能力来促进学生的全面发展,要求充分利用多元智能理论在英语教学(包括听说读写等)中发展学生的多元智能。本研究调查英语教与学环境下高中生多元智能发展状况和探索培养高中生多元智能英语学习策略的途径。在对广州市越秀外国语学校高二学生多元智能调查的基础上,本研究选取了其中3名学生作为个案研究对象,对其实施了为期一个月的基于学生智能的英语学习策略培训。研究分别从学生多元智能自评量表、访谈、课堂观察和学生的英语反思报告等工具收集数据。对数据进行的定量和定性分析显示：1)三名个案研究对象的多元智能发展是不均衡的。具体来说,统计显示语言智能、逻辑-数学智能、人际智能和自我认知智能是最常使用的智能。而音乐智能和身体-动觉智能则不常使用。2)经过一系列多元智能学习策略培训后,三名受试懂得如何通过智能强项学习英语,并且发现这不仅能提高他们的语言智能,还能提高其它智能；3名受试的空间智能、身体-动觉智能和自我认知智能有显著变化。本研究证明了学生的多元智能英语学习策略培训在某种程度上能促进学生的多元智能发展。同时,学生的自主学习能力也在策略培训中得到加强。总之,学生的智能在培养他们的语言综合能力的过程中得到全面发展。
