跨文化会话交际中语码转换的语用研究

内容摘要

语码转换是指语言使用者在同一语篇中交替使用两种或两种以上语码的语言现象。在单语、双语或多语社会中,语码转换是一种普遍且复杂的现象。从20世纪70年代起许多语言学家就已经从社会语言学、语法、会话分析、心理语言学及语用学等角度对此课题进行了大量研究,并且取得了许多成就。在维索尔伦的语言顺应理论以及于国栋的顺应模式研究基础上,作者进一步对跨文化会话交际中的语码转换进行了具体的语用研究。通过对跨文化会话中大量典型例子的研究分析,可以得出如下两个结论:第一,会话中语码转换的出现受到许多因素的影响,如语言本身的因素,外界的社会因素以及交际者内心的心理因素。一般来说,语码转换是一种非常有效的交际策略,可以满足交际者的交际意图。具体来说,语码转换在跨文化会话交际中主要有以下三种语用功能:填补词汇空缺或语义差异使交际更加方便,避免社交尴尬,作为幽默讽刺、强调、排除听话人、炫耀等策略满足交际者的心理需要。第二,从跨文化语用学三方面(语用语言学、社会语用学及语际语语用学)对语码转换进行研究时发现其在单语、双语或多语文化背景下都表现出了不同的特点并具有不同的功能,这对研究语码转换对社会发展的积极影响有着重大意义。从方法论上来讲,本研究涉及到了定性,定量和描述性的研究。其中以定性研究为主,它主要用于对跨文化会话交际中语码转换的顺应分析。整个研究过程是从收集典型事例开始的,然后将这些例子分类,再观察这些例子的特点从而总结出语码转换的原因和具有的功能。总之,随着社会的发展和文化交流的深入,现实生活中语码转换出现的频率越来越高。所以本文作者想通过此文引起语言学习者和语言使用者对语码转换的重视,以更好地理解和使用语码转换这一有效的交际策略。
