模糊限制语的语用交际功能探究

内容摘要

模糊限制语源于1972年,是继美国查德教授提出著名的模糊理论之后由拉克夫提出的。它是模糊语言家族的重要成员,是语言交际中的普遍现象,在交际中起着非常重要的作用。本文主要从语用学的角度研究英语中模糊限制语在言语交际中的功能。文中作者结合国内外相关研究现状,从语用角度对模糊限制语的含义、分类及其研究现状作了探讨。首先,作者运用语用原则中的“合作原则”,“礼貌原则”,“面子威胁理论”及“会话含义”,结合具体实例对模糊限制语在言语交际中的使用进行了整体上的理论分析,得出模糊限制语的一般功能。其次,作者结合具体的语境对两个语料库--新闻与商务谈判中的模糊限制语的出现数量、分布状况做出了统计,进而分析在这两种语境中模糊限制语体现出的不同的功能及其产生差异的原因。通过分析可以发现模糊限制语的功能在不同的语境中有不同的体现,这说明模糊限制语与其出现的语境有着密切的联系。在一定的语境中恰当地运用一些模糊限制语能够帮助人们成功地进行交际从而实现交际目的。最后作者总结了本文的研究成果并指出本文的研究对外语教学有着深刻的指导意义,在外语教学中恰当地运用一些模糊限制语不但能进一步提高外语教学水平,而且能增强学生的交际能力。
