内容摘要

焦虑是一个影响英语学习的主要情感因素。现在的学者给予像动机、焦虑、态度这种对学习有影响的情感因素很大的关注。情感因素对学习的影响可以是正面的也可以是负面的。在外语学习焦虑和其它关于情感因素的理论指导下,这篇论文主要从三个方面进行研究：找出产生焦虑的原因、提供有效的应对焦虑的对策以及怎样把负焦虑转换为正焦虑。为了实现这一目标,作者从呼和浩特市第六中学高一年级选取了360名学生进行调查研究。此项调查研究主要采取问卷和访谈的形式。问卷以霍兹的外语课堂焦虑量表为主,访谈主要包括观察、采访以及普通的谈话。调查结果显示,高中生或多或少的存在焦虑症状。超过半数的学生存在高度焦虑,只有一小部分的学生焦虑程度偏低。结果同时显示,成绩较高的学生焦虑程度偏低,以此证明焦虑程度和学习成绩之间是一种负相关的关系。焦虑产生的原因也是多种多样的,作者认为性别、自尊以及家庭背景是主要的焦虑来源。针对学生的焦虑水平,作者向教师提出了一些建议。教师应该建立放松、和谐的课堂氛围；给学生做课前放松；给予学生积极和权威的暗示；帮助学生增强自信心；运用正面和积极的评价以及开展合作学习。
