从切斯特曼翻译伦理模式解读五四时期儿童文学翻译

内容摘要


翻译作为一项跨文化交际活动,如果失去了能为交流各方所共同接受的普遍性道德标准的约束,就会造成误解甚至文化冲突。翻译活动中存在的这种普遍性道德标准即翻译伦理。西方翻译伦理研究兴起于20世纪80年代,至今已有了长足性的发展。芬兰学者安德鲁·切斯特曼(Andrew Chesterman)将翻译伦理这一比较模糊的概念进行了具体划分并提出了五个主要的翻译伦理模式,即再现伦理、服务伦理、交际伦理、基于规范的伦理和承诺伦理。切斯特曼的翻译伦理模式为研究翻译伦理提供了一个多角度的视角,对于解释翻译过程中的伦理问题具有很强的可操作性。五四时期,我国的儿童文学翻译现象令人瞩目,儿童文学翻译作品无论从数量、题材、涉及的国别以及从事翻译的人数上来说都达到了历史高峰。五四时期我国儿童文学翻译取得了前所未有的成绩,分析这段时期的翻译现象对研究我国儿童文学翻译和创作都有重要的指导意义。本文拟从Chesterman的翻译伦理模型出发,结合五四时期翻译实例剖析这一时期儿童文学翻译中的伦理问题,逐一探讨了五种主要的翻译伦理在儿童文学翻译中的体现以及相互之间的联系,希望能为儿童文学翻译研究打开一个更新更广的视角,同时也为翻译伦理学的理论发展提供一定的实践支持。
