中国海员类学生英语学习风格：对于职业英语教学的启示

在语言教学研究中，造成学习效果差异的学习者的个体因素已成为一个重要的研究领域，其中学习者的学习风格越来越引起教育者的重视。但是，中国学者对于学习风格的研究相对较少，尤其是在职业英语教育方面。本文旨在探讨中国青少年和成人海员类英语学习者在学习风格上的异同，并在青少年学习者当中以学习风格为导向开展了多元化的课堂活动，希望以此来弥补和调节教学风格与学习风格间的差异。笔者认为，教师应首先了解自己的学习风格对自己语言教学的影响，其次应有意识地帮助学生测定他们各自的学习风格，鼓励学生在学习中充分认识自我，扬长避短，并且做到兼容并蓄，调整和改进其固有的学习风格模式，同时也培养不同的学习风格，使学生逐渐形成灵活的认知方式。本文首先回顾了学习风格方面的理论背景及研究现状，其中主要着笔于“学习的感知模式”，包括视觉、听觉，体验，动手操作学习模式等等。研究分为两个步骤，首先笔者使用Reid的“感知学习风格偏好调查表”对南京海运学校海船驾驶专业二年级30名青少年学生和海员培训班的30名成人学员进行了学习风格方面的测定和比对，随后笔者主要针对其中的30名青少年学生进行了为期近九个月的调查、实验和研究，运用调查问卷、访谈、课堂观察等调查手段，通过定性和定量数据分析等，得出以下结果： 1．青少年和成人外语学习者因年龄、学习动机、工作经验、教育程度等因素，在学习风格上存在一定的差异； 2．任课教师对于两类学习者的学习风格的认识还存在欠缺，教与学双方的配合有待调整； 3．教师和学生都应识别各自的学习风格，教师应以学习风格为导向开展多元化的课堂活动，使学生在学习风格上扬长避短，兼容并蓄。鉴于本次研究的局限性以及学习风格本身的复杂性，还应进一步探索与学习风格紧密相连的其他因素，如学习策略等。
