目的论视角下河南自然景观景介的英译

内容摘要

景点介绍作为宣传河南和促进河南旅游业发展的重要手段之一,其英译的质量对吸引国外游客以及河南旅游文化的传播都起着至关重要的作用。然而,目前河南景点介绍的英文的翻译质量却存在着诸多问题,很难达到预期目的,因此这方面的调查研究具有重要的现实意义。建立在行为理论基础上的目的论认为,翻译是一种目的性行为,采用什么样的翻译的策略应由翻译行为的目的和译文的预期功能来决定,目的法则是决定翻译行为的第一准则。河南自然景观景介英译的首要目的是吸引更多的外国游客。从这一目的出发,译者应以的语读者为导向,努力使译文符合的语读者的需求和期待。由于根植于不同的文化,中英自然景观的景介有着各自不同的特征。本文作者在目的论的指导下,首先对中英自然景观景介的体裁规约进行分析、总结,进而对河南自然景观景介的汉语原文和英语译文进行对比分析,指出造成现有英语译文不当乃至错误的原因,并提出相应的合适的翻译策略,以期为河南自然景观景介的英译提供参考。文章最后指出,目的论强调译文的交际功能,因此对河南自然景观景介的翻译具有很强的指导意义。译者在翻译的过程中不应只是对原文进行机械的语码转化,而应以译语读者为中心,以译文的交际目的为向导,灵活运用多种翻译方法,以期最大限度的实现译文的预期功能,从而促进河南旅游业的发展。
